BASIC ROTARY AIRLOCK VALVE

Type 1

The Basic Rotary Valve Type-1 Airlock is our most popular rotary valve due to the simple fact that it is more than adequate for the bulk of rotary valve applications and most all feeder applications. Simple and robust design with the two most popular added features being relieved tips (cuts down on the surface area of the tips for sticky or shearable materials) and shaft air purge (a kit that puts a compressed air purge right at the seals in end-plates). Some competitors offer a “low-cost alternative” base valve with imported castings in an attempt to compete with our Type-1 valve on price but at a cost to you, in quality.

All of our rotary valves are NFPA Section 12.2.3.2 compliant.

TYPE-1 AIRLOCK FEATURES: 

  • Our most popular “bread and butter” cast iron rotary valve
  • Construction: Cast iron housing and endplates with a mild steel open end rotor
  • Available sizes ranging from 7” airlock (0.12CFR) to 30” airlock (9.90 CFR)
  • Available with round inlet and outlet in sizes: 9” and 12”
  • Can be used as either a feeder or an airlock on any non-abrasive material
  • Standard color: Blue or white
  • Available for high temperature applications up to 500° F
  • 100% manufactured and assembled in the USA

  • Dust collection bag houses and collectors
  • Any pneumatic conveying systems handling non abrasive products
  • Feeding material from a silo to a weigh belt or air slide conveyor
  • Emergency backup rotary valve to a more expensive abrasion resistant design
