As a parent of 9 kids (go ahead, read it again) I have more than once forgotten, no matter how hard I try to remember, to double check all the boxes at Christmas and make sure that I picked up enough of the necessary supplies to make everything work when the packages are opened on Christmas Day. Nothing will let the air out of Super Dad’s cape faster than getting exactly the right present (YES!) and not being able to play with it (DOH!) because you forgot the batteries.
